2 Corinthians 9:6-8
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver!"
- Envision your ideal space - write your goal to aim for.
- Pick one area and set the timer to work on it for 10 minutes. Remember progress is progress!
- Trash the trash - you have permission to eliminate everybody's trash, everywhere!
- Put alike things together. Everything has a home.
- Label containers so they are not "out of sight, out of mind."
- Discard expired items - in your kitchen, bathrooms, supplies, vitamins, medicines, and makeup.
- Discard stained & ruined clothes, towels, bedding, and linens.
- Eliminate old hats, belts, purses & accessories you never use.
- Donate anything you can borrow easily or get online or afford to purchase if you ever need it.
- Dump old newspapers, magazines, and paper clutter.
- Donate clothes and shoes to your local charity.
- Get rid of jewelry and hair accessories you don't wear.
- Recycle or discard boxes, packing materials, and shopping bags.
- Eliminate duplicates. Do you really need more than 2?
- If you have not used it in over 1 year - let it go to its new life.
- Broken things - that you will never repair are garbage.
- Things that make you feel bad...Why are you keeping it?
- Dead batteries, burned-out candles, ineffective light bulbs.
- Ugly items - Don't do ugly... do beautiful!
- Products you never use. Perfumes, lotions, makeup, sunscreen, cleaners, paint, etc.
- Toys, games, trophies, and sports equipment, that nobody plays with or cares about anymore.
- Tools, equipment, and parts that you never use.
- Extra furniture that takes up space.
- Hidden things that are just junk nobody will ever miss.
- Clean your refrigerator and freezer.
- Clean and replace filters everywhere. Dryer, Dishwasher, Air, Water, AC, etc.
- Donate to a shelter: old linens, towels, and pet accessories.
- Make an emergency kit - make sure first aid is not expired.
- Donate excess food & supplies to a food bank/shelter.
- Go through your vehicles and clear the clutter there also. Maybe you need to get rid of the extra vehicles that no longer serve you and take up limited, valuable real estate space too.
